This striking Necklace showcases a Spiny Oyster Shell and Sterling Silver Pendant by Navajo artist Allison Johnson. The Pendant has a teardrop-shaped Spiny Oyster Shell stone in attractive red-coral, with striations in slightly lighter tones. The stone is wrapped in a raised Sterling Silver Bezel and set on Sterling Plate with 2-layer construction. Both layers are contoured to match the stone and have attractive notches and cut-outs. The Pendant hangs from a v-shaped Sterling Silver Bail and is stamped on the back with the artist's hallmark and "Sterling." We've paired the Pendant with 2 strands of color-matched Spiny Oyster Shell Chip. The Chip ranges in size from 5mm to 14mm and is multi-colored, displaying both red-coral and white hues. The stones are integrated with 3mm translucent gray Fire Polished Glass, which is faceted and adds a subtle sparkle. The Spiny Oyster Shell is further highlighted by two 12mm Sterling Silver Rondelle Beads, which sit on either side of the Pendant Bail and radiate a soft luster. At the top of the Necklace the 2 strands of Spiny Oyster Shell transition to 2 strands of 4mm Sterling Silver Rounds, ensuring a comfortable fit. The Necklace is finished with a Stamped Sterling Silver Toggle Clasp and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 82 grams and is 20-1/2 inches long plus the Pendant, which is 2-3/4 inches by 1-1/2 inches including the 1/2-inch Bail (when wearing, this is a vertical hang length of about 10 inches).
