This unique Necklace displays a Sonora Sunset and Sterling Silver Post-Set Pendant by Nevada Silversmith Jim Daggett. The Sonora Sunset Stone is cut into the shape of a Triangle — about 9mm deep — and crafted with bevelled edges. The stone is a striking coral-red color (Cuprite) with faint traces of black (Iron) and a splash of green in the right lower corner (Chrysocolla). The Sonora Sunset has been post-set onto a plate of Sterling Silver, which has been polished to a fine sheen. The Sterling is stamped in a vertical pattern on each side of the Triangle and notched to form an attractive sawtooth pattern. The Pendant hangs from a v-shaped Sterling Silver Bail and is stamped on the back with the artist's hallmark and "Sterling." We've paired the Sonora Sunset Pendant with 3 strands of Apple Coral, shaped into 6.5-by-8mm cubes. The Coral is a perfect color match to the Sonora Sunset stone, and has a soft luster. The Coral is complemented by 6mm translucent gray-tan Smoky Quartz Rounds, and by 9mm Wrapped Sterling Silver Cylinders. The Quartz and Sterling mirror tones in the Pendant and add color depth and sparkle. At the top of the Necklace the 3 strands of Apple Coral transition to 3 strands of translucent gray Fire Polish Glass. The Necklace is finished with Curved and Stamped Sterling Silver Cones and a Sterling Toggle Clasp, and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 122 grams and is 21 inches long plus the Pendant, which is 3 inches tall by 2 inches wide including the 5/8-inch Bail.
