This outstanding Necklace showcases Tortoise Turquoise Diamonds from a secluded mine in mid-Western Nevada. We purchased this Turquoise in 2011 from the Nevada Turquoise Company — a stroke of luck and an impressive find. Tortoise Turquoise is a high-grade and collectible Turquoise that has been mined in both a mint-green color and in a combination of tan, black & brown. Our Tortoise is the latter, which makes it both striking and versatile. The individual Stones have been shaped like Diamonds, and display a range of color patterns with each one unique. They are graduated, ranging in size from 6mm to 16mm, and are polished to a soft sheen. We've paired the Tortoise Turquoise with translucent tan Smoky Quartz — including 12mm Faceted Coin Beads and 7mm Polished Rounds — along with Crackled Quartz Ovals. Crackled Quartz is semi-translucent and displays fractures or crackles within the crystal-colored stone, giving off a subtle sparkle. The stones are highlighted by three 14mm Ornate Sterling Silver Rounds, which have raised patterns of moons, dots, stars & diamonds. They are accompanied by two 8mm and four 10mm Sterling Silver Bench-Made Rounds, adding shine. At the top of the Necklace the 3 strands of Turquoise and Quartz transition to Sardonyx Agate Faceted Rectangles, streamlining the silhouette and ensuring a comfortable fit. The Necklace is finished with Sterling Rounds and Toggle Clasp, and adorned with a Kokopelli Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 146 grams and the 3 Necklace strands are 25 inches, 26-1/2 inches, and 28-1/2 inches long.
