This beautiful Necklace showcases a 13-Stone Carico Lake Turquoise and Sterling Silver Pendant by Native American artist Les Baker. The Carico Lake Turquoise Mine is located south of Battle Mountain in Lander County, Nevada. It is collectible, prized for its striking green & blue hues and spiderweb matrix. Our Carico stones are sky blue with golden brown matrix. The large center stone is set in a raised Sterling Silver Bezel wrapped by twisted Sterling Wire. It is surrounded by 12 oval-shaped Turquoise stones, each set in a Sterling Bezel and spaced with 12 handcrafted Sterling Silver Balls. The Pendant drapes from a custom Sterling Bail which has been scalloped and artfully stamped. The piece is stamped on the back with the artist's hallmark and "Sterling." We've paired the Pendant with 2 strands of 7mm Kingman Turquoise Heishi. The Kingman is sky blue with gray and golden brown matrix, mirroring the hues in the Carico Lake. The Kingman Turquoise is beautifully cut and polished, creating smooth, flexible Necklace strands. The Turquoise is highlighted by two 14mm Sterling Silver Disc Beads, which are placed on either side of the Pendant Bail. At the top of the Necklace the 2 strands of Kingman transition to 2 strands of translucent gray Fire Polished Glass, streamlining the silhouette and ensuring wearer comfort. The Necklace is finished with Sterling Silver Rounds and a Hammered Sterling Toggled Clasp, and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 118 grams and is 20-3/4 inches long plus the Pendant, which is 3 inches tall by 2 inches wide including the 3/4-inch Bail (when wearing, a vertical hang length of about 9-1/2 inches).
